Castor Oil - एरंडेल तेल

Castor oil is a multi-purpose vegetable oil that people have used for thousands of years. It is pressed from castor beans and its boiling point is 313°C (595°F). It includes a mixture of triglycerides in which approximately 90 percent of fatty acid chains are ricinoleates. It has a number of medicinal, industrial and pharmaceutical uses.

• Castor oil is useful to improve immune system.
• It can be used to treat a variety of conditions including Menstrual cramps, Yeast infections, Arthritis, Athlete's foot, Cerebral palsy, Migraines, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Ringworm and sunburn.
• In the food industry, food grade castor oil is used in food additives, flavorings, candy (e.g., polyglycerol polyricinoleate or PGPR in chocolate), as a mold inhibitor, and in packaging.
• We can preserve food grains by applying castor oil on it. It stops rice, wheat, and pulses from rotting.
• Castor oil has been used in cosmetic products included in creams and as a moisturizer.
• It also has been used to enhance hair conditioning in other products and for supposed anti-dandruff properties.
• We can use castor oil as a skin lubricant, to reduce wrinkles, and improve skin quality.
